How to switch planner sizes?

I dont know if anybody else ever faced this (although I cant imagine it) but I am thinking about changing sizes of my planner... I currently use a compact and am looking at more of the classic... simply because I can fold a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper in half and have it fit nicely in the binder....

But how to get to that point... I just cant seem to part with my current binder and such... and then there is the fact that the paper is not compatable with the new binder... and it just goes on....

any ideas out there?

Thanks

What start-date are you? Do you think you can wait until your new start-date to make the transition?

That's exactly what I was

That's exactly what I was going to suggest, Admin!  I did that back when I switched from compact to a classic size planner a couple years ago, and I had to go through and fill in some things in my new address section and such, but it really wasn't that bad.  Of course that depends somewhat on the person, but I also found that the excitement of having a new planner was motivation enough for me to get it done!

My Admin Asst, has ordered the refill pack and already filled in 90% of my dates so I have another year before I can switch over... or maybe just get used to the idea that I will have pages hanging out the top of my planner....

I think a slow transition is best... do you have a portfolio or another thin carrier that you can place some of your old pages in while getting started on your new pages?

Each month transition more of your old planner pages into the new planner. For example, throughout this month transition your phone numbers/addresses into your new pages. Then, next month move over all important dates.

I am not switching planner

I am not switching planner sizes but rather planner page styles. I think the same applies, transferring all the information to the new style planner pages. It may seem odd, but I am enjoying it. For me there is a certain level of excitement in using the new style of planner pages. They begin in July and I can't wait. My wife thinks I'm weird but I am already filling out the forms and such and replacing the old original style with my new Cornerstone style little by little.

Scan it! I'm impatient and once I had decided to move from Classic to Monarch, I wanted everything in my new binder now. I set aside one evening with a scanner/printer, A LOT of blank Monarch pages and a bottle of wine. After scanning my current content (3 months worth of daily pages, notes pages etc.) I printed all onto the pre-punched blank Monarch's. As I had previously loaded address/phone and special date information into Forms Wizard software for backup purposes, printing to a new size was a snap.

While the format looks a tad odd for a while, its a relatively painless way to keep everything at your fingertips.
